Mark serves as the Human Resources Manager at NexGen Manufacturing, leading all HR activities with a strategic focus on employee relations, talent management, benefits, payroll, environmental health and safety (EH&S), training, workers’ compensation, and compliance. With over 30 years of experience, Mark brings a culturally minded and communicative approach to HR, fostering a collaborative environment that supports employees and aligns with NexGen’s business objectives.

A graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. His expertise bridges human resources, accounting, and business leadership, with extensive experience in distribution, eCommerce, retail, and manufacturing. He is adept at advising senior leadership, budgeting, strategic planning, and forecasting, always approaching challenges with the big picture in mind.

Throughout his career, Mark has achieved significant milestones. He successfully transitioned hiring practices from agency-based recruitment to an internally managed direct hire system, implementing a referral program that enhanced workforce quality, instilled team-oriented goals, and significantly reduced turnover. Additionally, Mark developed a comprehensive supervisor training program, equipping leaders with the tools to coach, counsel, and correct behaviors while driving productivity. His contributions extend to creating a robust Health and Safety program, incorporating rewards for safe practices and clear consequences for violations. Mark was also honored with a nomination to the Board of Directors for WorkOne, Region 5.
