Melissa Mudd is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, where she has consistently demonstrated excellence in both operations and sales. Currently serving in a national role at NexGen, Melissa is instrumental in driving growth across inside and outside sales and marketing. Her energy, enthusiasm, and optimism are not only hallmarks of her leadership style but also serve to inspire colleagues and clients alike.

Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Management, and a Graduate Certificate in Operations Management from the Jack Welch Management Institute. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, underscoring her commitment to continuous improvement and operational efficiency. As Communications Liaison for the Jack Welch Student Alumni Advisory Board, she continues to support the next generation of business leaders.

Before joining NexGen, Melissa made a lasting impact at her previous organizations, where she led the development of ISO-9001:2015 programs, coordinated document control and ISO compliance, and secured a $75,000 grant for a welding simulator to enhance workforce training. Her strategic and operational acumen has made her a trusted contributor at every stage of her career.

Melissa is equally dedicated to community service and professional development. She has served on several boards and committees, including the South-Central Workforce Development Board, the Governance Committee for Workforce Development, the Big Brothers Big Sisters Butler County Board, and her local Planning and Zoning Commission. She has also been recognized as a 2024 Woman of Excellence in Metal Forming and Fabricating through the Precision Metal forming Association and received a Public Relations award for her efforts with Relay for Life and the American Cance Society.

An active member of Women in Manufacturing, the Precision Metal forming Association (PMA), her local Chamber of Commerce, and her church, Melissa leads with integrity, perseverance, and heart. She is especially passionate about mentoring young women and championing opportunities in manufacturing.

Melissa lives by the words of Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” — and draws inspiration from Winston Churchill’s reminder that “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
