Allen Mills serves as President and CEO of NexGen Manufacturing, where he oversees overall operations, drives strategic planning, and ensures the company remains financially and operationally strong in a rapidly evolving industry. He works closely with the management team to assess performance, align departmental growth objectives with budget forecasts, and position the company to meet emerging manufacturing and technology demands. Under his leadership, NexGen continues to innovate and adapt, ensuring sustained growth well into the future.

With a career in manufacturing that began in 1998, Allen brings extensive experience in engineering, sales, and management. He has deep expertise in machine design, metal fabrication, and machining, supported by a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering with a specialization in Machine Systems from Purdue University.

Throughout his tenure, Allen has led NexGen’s growth from a two-person operation to a company employing 80 skilled professionals. His leadership has driven transformative initiatives, including the implementation of ERP systems, advanced automation technologies such as robotic systems and CNC equipment, and the execution of new plant layouts and acquisitions. One of his favorite aspects of the role is collaborating with customers to solve complex manufacturing challenges.

Allen’s vision for NexGen is rooted in building high-performing teams of engineers and tradespeople equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver superior service and innovative solutions to customers. His strong foundation in mechanical engineering, combined with a passion for business finance and strategic growth planning, has been instrumental in shaping the company’s success.

Outside of work, Allen enjoys big game hunting, precision long-range shooting, farming, and spending time outdoors. He is a proud member of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA) and is guided by the philosophy:
